Aureet - Our Light, Our Love (January, 1991)

If anyone could be characterized as a beautiful person, Aureet was the one.
She was truly beautiful. She had a beautiful face, a beautiful body, and a beautiful soul.
Her beauty was the beauty of love. She radiated love.
She loved people. She loved Nature. She loved life.
She was keenly aware of the beauty of life and sought to express it in creative ways.

Aureet valued and cherished the genuine love within our family.
Our children Aureet, Yaneer, and Sageet were the fruit of deep exciting love.
Each one of them an outstanding human being and a remarkably gifted person.
Each having great capacity to make unique contributions and enrich life.
We have always been proud and grateful for having these three wonderful children.

Aureet was the first precious fruit of our blossoming love,
and she was made of the magnificent ingredients of true love.
She emanated warmth of caring, sensitivity, and compassion.
She knew how to love and how to give generously;
She was willing to give of herself readily without holding back.

Aureet, Our Light (January, 1991)

Your name was - Light,
Your life emanated light,
You were the smile of life,
You radiated dynamic life,
You shined with warm light,
You touched lives with your light.

Your Legacy (January, 1991)

You were born to live and love -
You made daily living exciting,
Your touch made all things attractive,
You added bright sparkle to life,
Your home was open and charming.
You were cheering the beauty of life.

Your awareness and keen sense of beauty,
Your enchantment with color and movement,
Permeated all of your art.
Your vibrant dynamic uniqueness -
were felt in the way you were moving -
In the zest and delight of your dance.

With empathy and deep-felt awareness,
bright insight and rich creativity,
you sought to express in your writing
your quest for enhanced understanding
of life and the aim of existence
its struggles, dilemmas and quests.

Stirred by the wonders of nature
You ventured, observed and explored.
Intrigued by the nature of humans
You studied the ways they relate,
and proposed theoretical model
to explain interpersonal growth.

Aureet - Our Love (January, 1991)

Did you know how much we loved you?
Did you really know?
Did you know how proud we were of you?
What a wonderful gift you were to us?
Do you know how irreplaceable you are?
Could we ever explain what you meant to us?
- - - - - - - -
Your stirring beauty
was the beauty of love,
Vibrant, deep, exciting.
I wonder if you knew
how often I looked at you with awe,
Marveling at the mystery of love creation.

Your eyes were beautiful -
Expressive, caressing with love.
Your face was so beautiful,
not just in its perfect form,
but in its bright shining smile -
The sparkling smile of inner beauty.

Your body was beautiful,
Your shapely gentle curves,
your smooth velvety skin,
full of life and sensuality,
Your hands were so lovely,
so sensitive and skillful.

Your soul was beautiful
You knew how to give
with genuine generosity -
not calculating, not guarded -
not trying to hold back.
You were ready to share yourself.

You believed in mutual love,
but you died all alone...
Your death, as your life, had profound
effect on all those who knew you.
We all have learned from you - -
Your message of love will continue.

Engraved deep in the hearts
of all those whom you touched,
your love will keep on giving - -
You can never be forgotten,
The love for you will survive.
Its strength will forever endure.

As you have gloriously written
in your poem on Growth of Love:
The seeds of love will be passed
"unto the sky above
that it may rain down
many many more streams of love".

Your Gifts (February, 1991)

You had so much to give,
so many wonderful gifts:
Diverse talents and abilities,
Resourcefulness and creativity,
commitment and perseverance,
prolific rich productivity

You could be a model for many!

The balance you were achieving
between organization and creativity,
earnest professionalism and playfulness,
empathic understanding and objectivity,
Self expression and open-mindedness,
careful planning and free exploration.

You lived with the highest standards -

Your consistent high integrity
was integral part of your personality,
and in your rich vocabulary
Some words did not exist at all:
Procrastination, Carelessness.
Pettiness, Messiness or Neglect.

Did you know how special you were?

Committed to the highest values,
you kept seeking self improvement,
always reexamining your ideas -
striving to develop and grow,
struggling with the heavy load
you carried on delicate shoulders.

Your self discipline was wondrous -

You endurance was amazing.
You were able to work long hours
tenacious and persevering
with energy and determination;
You could bear excruciating pain
you could bear without complaining.

You gave all your life till the end.

You were so caring and thoughtful
with genuine acceptance,
and with empathic consideration.
You gave priceless gifts to many
who learned from you to grow.
Now your life has stopped abruptly,

but not your generous giving.

At The Grave (April, 1991)

Yesterday I brought you
a lovely hydrangea plant.
Its large blue flowers
were full of life and vigor,
promising growth and hope.
I sensed a gentle smile
peeking through the petals.
I knew you would have liked it.

FLOWERS meant so much to you - -
one of your first uttered words
as you began to talk.
Bright colorful flowers
were always on your table,
on your desk, in your garden.
and you often brought us gifts
of precious flowering plants.

I came this morning to your grave
looking for that gentle smile
through the hydrangea petals...
but the plant was all frozen.
It died overnight!
It froze to death!!!
I shivered and shuddered - -
you froze again in the icy cold pond.

Sunshine(June, 1991)

A beautiful pleasant day of sunshine - -
How you enjoyed such a sunny day!
You liked so much to sun bathe,
to rest, relax, and play.

You applauded the warm energy
and the effect on life of the sun - -
encouraging the plants to flourish,
letting animals and people have fun.

I see people worshipping the sun
on the beach, sleeping or awake.
I ask why the sun didn't warm you
that January day on the lake.

Spring Without You (June, 1991)

You cherished the process of growth
in plants, animals, and humans;
You loved the buds and flowers -
soaking the sun and the rain,
while singing a hymn to life.

You loved a small fledgling grass,
struggling and straining to grow,
new kittens, puppies, yearlings - -
the promise of future and growth,
the exciting unfolding of life.

You especially loved children -
and dreamed of having a child
to love, nurture and cherish.
You could be so great as a mother
giving life, attention and care.

I cannot stop feeling with you
how you miss this spring renewal,
the budding of life everywhere.
Harsh is the torment of knowing
that you never will see it again.

Calling You (June, 1991)

A small mysterious bird
lives in the woods near us.
We hear her every morning.
calling a sad, haunting call:
"Aureet! Aureet! "Come back!"
"Come back!"

Could you ever reply, Aureet?
Is there any coming back?
Do you hear the magic calling?
Could it be the magic bird
depicted in your poems?

Oh Aureet, Aureet!
your love for nature
is languishing here,
And life goes on around
as ever, as before.- - -

The Butterfly? (July, 1991)

We know you chose, Aureet,
the butterfly as your emblem.
You liked its gentle beauty,
its spirit of independence
and freedom to explore - -

But did you somehow know
what the future had in store?
How like a fleeting butterfly
you will nurture and spread life
while your own will be so short?

Missing You (May, 1992)

We miss your gentle voice,
your beautiful lively face,
your bright warm smile,
your deep expressive eyes.

We miss your graceful walk,
your delicate skillful hands,
Your lovely trim shape,
in tastefully chosen clothes.

We miss your spirited "Hi"
in your frequent friendly calls,
We miss your generous heart
your insights and advice.

We miss the family dinners,
meetings, talks, discussions,
with new inspiring ideas,
and the joyful playful times.

Fall of Sorrow (October, 1992)

Fall is slowly emerging.
The leaves are turning colors.
Many scatter on your grave.
pale ashen yellow leaves -
helplessly strewn on the grass -
Nature's somber soundless tears.

Here their life is ending -
New life may come to others,
but these will be no more.
And they all accept their fate
their place in the order of things,
Nature's perpetual cycle.

Life's process of changing
held great fascination for you.
It was central in your search
for personal and professional growth.
But your efforts were suddenly cut -
only unanswered questions are left.

No! There is no explanation!
You were so full of life and vigor,
you were so richly blooming,
so much was still hoped for - -
No! it was not the way of nature
to let you suddenly fall, and be gone.

A Summer Garden For You (July 1993)

You loved the plants and flowers so
Your radiant smile made them grow.
and near your grave I feel I know
what you would have enjoyed to sow.

You would have liked the sun to glow,
with pleasant breeze to gently blow
Induce the leaves their green to show,
and the flowers to tie the Earth in a bow.
