DAVID AVIHAIL—Aureet's Cousin, 1991

(translated from Hebrew)

I remember Aureet as a young girl in a hot summer in Jerusalem in a wadding pool. It is so difficult to part with such a smiling lovely image, tan, graceful, full of life and meaning…

We feel the need for close contact with you. Although there is a physical - geographical distance between us, our strong inner connection can overcome any distance.

I was sitting and looking again at Aureet's paintings and suddenly:

High from far above
crystal-clear and translucent
sprinkling from heaven to abyss -
fleeting, passing by…

The flow of life,
waterfall of sparkles and pain
facing future dreams -
the fall of painful longing.

At sunrise,
a fountain is surging,
At sunset,
it disappears and is vanishing.

And a mysterious figure
is silently standing,
watching…
with a tear on her cheek…
