PROF. RALPH MOSHER—1991

Boston University

She was such a popular, bright, academically able and personally attractive young woman. … You may know that I unsuccessfully tried to persuade Aureet to join our research team -- offering her gilded visions of life in Southern California [during a sabbatical]. I respected her for her autonomy and forthrightness in declining. I was delighted for her when Kathy White extended her invitation. Aureet's contribution to our understanding of human relationships was a powerful theoretical thesis. And it will be a part of her legacy. Obviously, she honored her parents with her exceptional scholarship. You must have been extraordinarily proud of her. The sadness of it is "what might have been" had she not died so prematurely. I have no doubt that she would have gone on to professional distinction on her own merits and her exceptional mind.

…I know Aureet lives vividly in the memories all of us have of her vibrant personality…
